Our company also “Mines” gravel. A “Drag Line” digs the Raw Product out of the water. After some of the water drains out a Loader carries the Raw Product to a “Hopper.” The Hopper has a Moving Belt that feeds another Belt that lifts the product to a “Shaker” with “Sized Screens” that sort the product into 3 sizes. Two sizes go on piles on the ground while the third goes into another Hopper, up another Belt and into another Shaker. This shaker has Sized Screens & many rows of “Spray Bars” that spray pressurized water on to the dirty gravel & “Wash” the “Dirt” away. From there we get two piles of Washed gravel and a pile of dirt. Here’s some pictures of what that looks like. Sorry, I don’t have pictures of the plant running.
